We’re baaack!

That’s right, this post marks the launch of my new blog, Bark On. This chronicle will celebrate everything good within the dog world including, but not limited to, my three dogs (intros to follow), dog paraphernalia, news, trends, and essentially anything canine-related.

For you newcomers, we ended my last blog by reminiscing over the past year since my family began fostering Chance, a paraplegic Pekingese with a serious personality disorder. You can relive the excitement by visiting my previous blog, "A foster story". Chance was the third and hopefully, final addition to our pack which currently includes myself, my human partner, Jeremy, and Roxy and Cash. Just in case these three mongrels are unknown to you, here’s a brief rundown:

Roxy – 8 1/2 year old Pug x Boston Terrier. One-eyed, blind, and my soul mate. We met 8 1/2 yrs ago while she was a wee pup being sold and returned repeatedly at the “little shop of horrors” pet shop. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

Cash – 8 year old American Bulldog x Boxer. Handsome, huge, and dumb as rocks. He came to us 6 1/2 years ago when his family couldn’t handle his energy and destructive behaviour. He is the kindest soul I’ve ever known.

Chance – 10 year old paraplegic Pekingese. Furry, adorable, and terrifying. We decided to become his permanent foster family a year ago after seeing his sad face and reading his heartbreaking story in the Summer 2010 issue of MD. The Mongolian Monster. Enough said.

So that’s our story in a nutshell. Stay tuned for weekly posts that will relate our daily life, adorable photos, unfortunate mishaps and any other dog topics that I have an opinion on (so virtually everything). You’ll soon come to find that I love my dogs more than people, and for that I won’t apologize.
