I think it’s evident from my strongly opinionated rantings that I am a fierce proponent of rescue. Other than Roxy, who I bought from a pet store when I was 18 and silly, all my dogs are, and will forever be, rescues. The message of rescue and adoption is hugely important and one that I hope to spread far and wide with every opportunity I get! So, when I heard about Best Friends Animal Society’s new "Invisible Dogs" campaign, asking people to make pledges to help shelter dogs, I decided it was time to take the plunge and take my vows.

I pledge to adopt my next, and all future dogs.

I pledge to walk a dog at my local shelter.

I pledge to take a picture of said dog and share it on my blog, facebook page, and on Best Friends’ "Dog Wall".

There, that wasn’t so hard! Join me in my pledge to do these miniscule things to help brighten a shelter dog’s day. What do you pledge?
