Every day numerous parcels and boxes arrive via mail or courier; however, not all incoming packages attract the attention of our office dogs, but should there be food in any of them, the dogs just seem to know and they're all excited, prancing about, tails a-wagging as they vye for a close-up position so they can be first in line for any offerings. Read more...I love my morning dog-walks at this time of year. Everywhere I look I see signs of spring… from budding branches beginning to show that life within is ready to start yet another cycle to the feast-for-the-eyes colours of cherry blossoms, crocuses, rhododendrons, and snow drops. After a long dreary winter and so many chilly, wet walks, it’s heartening to see that vibrant spring will soon be in full bloom gracing us with longer days and warmer weather. Yay Spring! Yay Mother Nature!
Read more...The nominations for the American Humane Associations 2nd annual Hero Dogs award will close in just under two weeks (March 26th), so there's no time to waste. Every dog is a hero in their eyes (and in ours!), so even if your dog isn't a professional Service Dog, Therapy Dog, etc., there's an "Emerging Heroes" category so even ordinary dogs whom you think have made an extraordinary difference in your life have a chance at being honoured.

Tuesday, Feb 14th (Valentine's Day), marks the final day of this 136th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. In total 2076 dogs were entered with a total entry of 2106 in 185 different Breeds or Varieties. Throughout the day the breeds that hadn't competed the day before try their luck in the ring for the chance to go on to compete for Best of Group.
