Last spring we ran an article about Angel’s
Gate
, an animal hospice and rehabilitation center started in 1992 by Susan
Marino and Victor LaBruna when they opened their home to special-needs animals.
The hundreds of animals that are in their care at any time are often those that
no one wants–the sick, the old, the infirm, the abused. By opening their
hearts and their home to these animals they are providing something some of
these animals have never before experienced: care, comfort, compassion, and the
perhaps the biggest gift of all, the ability to live out their days with
dignity and love.

Angel’s Gate would like your help in achieving their goal of
being the Grand Award recipient of Rachael Ray’s Mutt Madness Contest.  In this game, the public gets to vote for the
winning finalists (which at this date has been narrowed down to just two, Angel’s
Gate and Last Chance Ranch) and when the contest closes November 30th,
the finalist with the most votes will receive $50,000 to help fund their
501(c)(3) organization.
