BuddyRest Acquires PetNV

DECEMBER 5, 2016—BuddyRest, a trusted leader in premium quality pet products has acquired the PetNV brand from Envision, Inc. The award winning PetNV brand features innovative reflective te chnology on leashes, collars and human companion belts that helps ensure dogs and their owners are more visible. The product line is currently manufactured by Envision in Wichita, Kansas.

BuddyRest Pet Products intends to build upon the strong foundation that Envision has created with the PetNV line while also utilizing the technology in other product offerings under the Pup IQ product brand also owned by BuddyRest. Pup IQ has a focus on utilizing intelligent materials and design to bring highly differentiated products to market and affordable prices.

“BuddyRest is proud to work in partnership with Envision on their mission of employing the visually impaired by keeping Envision as a manufacturing partner ” says Trevor Crotts President of BuddyRest Pet Products. “This acquisition allows more versatility to enter new product verticals and spread our passion of high quality, innovative pet products to other categories in the pet industry.”

“This is a win-win situation for everyone involved,” said Michael Monteferrante, President and CEO of Envision. “Trevor Crotts and his team are pet products experts and Envision is an expert in manufacturing this unique pet product line. By working together, PetNV will only grow, creating even more jobs at Envision that benefit individuals with vision loss.”

This partnership ensures all products are made in the USA in Wichita, Kansas. This acquisition is a great fit because it is utilizing a manufacturing process at Envision that employs people who are blind or visually impaired to help pets and pet parents be more visible and therefore increase safety when they are outdoors in low visibility conditions. An estimated 1.2 million dogs are stuck by vehicles each year. PetNV products are visible at a greater distance and increasing visibility will decrease the number of dogs hit by automobiles.
