Where flatulence is concerned, there are a number of factors that could be at play. “There are not scientific studies on this, but you are what you eat, and diet can play a large factor in flatulence,” says AKC Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Jerry Klein. “A few breeds that are anecdotally (not scientifically) known to be gaseous are Boxers, French Bulldogs, Bulldogs, Pugs, Neapolitan Mastiffs, Mastiffs, Beagles, and Golden Retrievers.
