Houses need art in order to become homes and watercolor pet portraits are an unexpected way to embellish your space. Free In The Lines’s watercolor pet portrait collection, Pound Puppies, are painted with vivid colors then digitally enhanced to create a dramatic effect. Each piece captures a breed’s specific charm and can be purchased as either a print or pillowcase.

Free In The Lines is a lifestyle blog that explores the idea of thriving within your boundaries, written by Atlanta-based artist Lexi Senic Albert. She initially began the Pound Puppies collection with Henri the French Bulldog as a means to add some fun dog art to her own space. But the collection didn’t really begin to grown until she and her husband adopted an Australian Shepherd puppy lovingly named Tucker May. This playful pup began to weave her way into their lives and in turn influenced the color palette and expansion of the dog pieces.

The current collection consists of over 20 dog breeds in a variety of hues and color combinations and is continually growing each month. More recently, clever kitties and brilliant birds can be found hiding in her shop. And if you don’t see your breed, she has a breed request form on her website so she can keep up with the most popular.

For something extra special, the artist offers custom portraits that are based on client photos and short furry friend bios. Lexi loves creating completely unique designs to memorialize your furry family members and can’t get enough of the sweet stories clients send.
