Try adding low- or no-sodium beef or chicken broth to your dog’s food or freeze it to make savoury “pops.” Adding 1/4 cup of broth to your dog’s meal doesn’t add many calories but is a wonderful treat and can jazz up dinner for fussy eaters.

Tip: Saving a bit of the leftover roast beef or turkey and freezing it allows you to always have a meaty snack ready. Chicken, turkey, beef, lamb, venison, and elk are all good choices and are usually well-liked by dogs.
