A few years ago American Kennel Club (AKC), conducted a survey of both dog owners and non-dog owners and discovered that 34 percent of the women dog owners endorsed the statement, “If my dog was a man, he’d be my boyfriend.”
And an overwhelming majority — nearly 90 percent — agreed that their dog had at least one endearing quality that they’d like to see in their significant other.
I’m sure if the survey was done today, the results would be very similar! SO if your idea of valentine gifts aren’t necessarily about red roses and chocolate and more about doggie drool and leaps of affection then you may want to take a peek at the PetSmart’s Luv-A-Pet collection of specially created clothes, accessories and toys that will get tails wagging.
But this is the part that always pulls at my heart strings; 10% of the sales of these item will go to PetSmart Charities in the US and Canada to help save homeless pets.
