DOG for DOG Lauches Giveaway to “Treat” a Shelter or Rescue for an Entire Year
August 7, 2014 by Modern Pets

DOG for DOG announces the launch of their nationwide  “Treat a Shelter” giveaway on Tuesday August 6th, 2014. The giveaway is being hosted on the DOG for DOG  Facebook page (www.facebook.com/dogfordog) and the company is directing everyone to nominate their favorite shelter or rescue for a chance to win a combination of their DOGTREATS™ and DOGSBARS™ to be donated to the shelter or rescue for an entire year. Nominations are being accepted from August 4-15, 2014.  DOG for DOG will narrow down the nominations to the top 50 finalists and allow fans to vote for them via Facebook. Final voting is from August 18-24, 2014.  The 20 shelters and rescues to receive the most votes will each receive treats for an entire year.

To engage in a huge nationwide contest like this where every shelter and rescue across the country has a chance at winning, requires major corporate participation and Cathay Bank has agreed to support our cause and cover the costly shipping expenses of the prizes that will be shipped to winners.  Additionally, Walgreens will be carrying DOG for DOG treats in select stores for a limited time, and The Hollywood Reporter helping spread the word by featuring DOG for DOG in their special pet issue in August.

“Having wonderful supporters like Cathay Bank is crucial to DOG for DOG, as it allows us to run these types of contests which gives us the ability to help more dogs in need. Without their commitment, this type of contest wouldn’t be possible,” commented Rocky Kanaka, Founder and President of DOG for DOG.
The “’Treat a Shelter” giveaway follows on the heels of the company’s hugely successful Feed A Shelter contest which ran earlier this summer and selected a deserving shelter to receive a year’s supply of the company’s DOGSFOOD™. Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans, LA was picked as the grand prize winner based on fan votes.
