Animal Health Clinics get CVBC approval

Animal Health Clinics get CVBC approval
May 26, 2014 by Modern Pets

We are so pleased to announce that our free Animal Health Clinics that serve homeless and low income pet guardians in Vancouver and New Westminster has received from the College of Veterinarians of BC approval to operate.

We are in the process of planning a fall Clinic in Vancouver, in partnership with Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association, Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital and Yaletown Pet Hospital.

Please consider donating to help us ensure we have enough resources to provide follow up care as required.  As we did when we met Cabo in New Westminster.

Pets Are Not Products Campaign

On Saturday, May 24th, a small group of volunteers demonstrated outside Puppies, Fish & Critters in Scottsdale Mall, Delta.

We continue to reach out to consumers to provide them with information on the animal welfare issues associated with the retail sale of animals online, in newspapers and at pet stores.

For more information on our campaign, visit our website.

Unwanted behaviour is one of the top reasons dogs are surrendered to shelters.  In most cases, these behaviours can be easily corrected with the appropriate information and guidance.

Join us on July 6, at 1pm for an informative workshop presented by Shelagh Begg, CPDT-KA, Certified Professional Dog Trainer and President of HugABull Advocacy & Rescue Society to learn about the most common behaviour problems and how to address them.
